On 22 October, raise a glass to Champagne Day
In 2009, the American blogger Chris Oggenfus decided to create Champagne Day. No, you're not dreaming: a day dedicated to Champagne. The idea? To unite champagne lovers from all over the world by sharing photos or videos, advice and tasting experiences using the #ChampagneDay hashtag on social media.
The 22nd of October 2021 is Champagne Day! Grappers has selected 3 events where you can celebrate all things champagne in a sparkling fashion.
First stop: Ay
Located in the commune of Aÿ-Champagne, Pressoria is a former Champagne Pommery pressing centre. To mark this bubbly day, you can take a “journey from the land to the winemaker”, buy some art and crafts, and participate in a "discovering the wines of Champagne" workshop led by Etienne Monet from the Champagne Wine School and Villa Bissinger. You will learn everything you need to know about the Champagne AOC and its grape varieties. The highlight of the morning will be a commented tasting of 3 champagnes (a Pinot Noir, a Meunier and a Chardonnay).

- Champagne Cattier
- Champagne Gardet

- Champagne Duchesne-Renaudin
- Champagne Rafflin-Peltriaux

The event kicks off at 7 pm on the village square where you will find a champagne bar, street food and music courtesy of "La Dent Rose".
