In September 2020, Joseph Perrier threw back its doors to reveal a brand-new tour allowing the general public to visit the cellars, learn all the secrets behind the crafting of Joseph Perrier’s champagnes and enjoy a tasting. Perfect for champagne fans who love a bit of history along with a good glass or two of champagne!

Having refurbished its tasting room and created a museum in homage to its founders, Joseph Perrier (the only Champagne House based in Châlons-en-Champagne) is now able to show off its assets in a fabulous manner.

It took two long years and the hard work of professional historians to redesign the tour and retrace Joseph Perrier's amazing past.

We worked closely with some historians and were able to recover around 1,500 unique objects associated with our family’s history. 150 of them are on display in this redesigned cabinet of curiosities

Another major challenge in this project was to restore the authentic character of the cellars located in what used to be Gallo-Roman chalk pits dug into the hillside. In these single-storey cellars, the only ones of their kind in Champagne, the Champagne House has created an impressive illuminated scenography that will surprise and delight visitors.

All in all, it’s an experience that is bound to leave a lasting impression on Champagne Lovers. In any case, we at Grappers are certainly impressed!
